Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman, leading buyer, restorer and seller of low mile, excellent condition Grand Wagoneers always has a prime selection of vintage Grands undergoing restoration works. Many of these pieces, especially ones like this original factory Hunter Green Final Edition, are reserved before works are completed and never make it into our available inventory.

Most Wagoneer enthusiasts are familiar of the limited number of Grand Wagoneers produced in 1991 as Chrysler brought production of this iconic vehicle to a halt. Only 1560 came off the assembly line making these Final Editions highly sought after and continue to be at the forefront of Wagoneer price appreciation. Industry experts predict that trend to continue. From that number a small fraction- less than 10%- were produced in the stunning Hunter Green Metallic Finish- just 150 to be exact. This lovely and unique color would only be produced in 1991 and so when we classify these as rare- in automotive history these are considered SUPER RARE. Few modern vehicles were ever manufactured in these limited numbers.

We feel quite fortunate when we are able to acquire one, especially with low mileage – just 112,600 original miles which means that over it’s lifetime it was driven on average just 3900 miles per year. Additionally this ’91 Hunter spent its entire life time in southern and western states which insures an undercarriage that has the benefit of avoiding the damaging effects of northern winters. Finally, how many of these 1991 Hunter Green Final Editions have survived and in what condition? It’s only guesswork but we know the number is quite small and the opportunity to own one of these with low miles and a southern/western heritage is reflected in the few that ever come available for purchase.

Carfax confirms the low 112,600 miles are original, no accidents have ever been reported against this Wagoneer and lifetime registration (until our purchase) in southern and western states, presenting a solid frame and undercarriage.
Some highlights of our restoration works include:

• Full professional repaint in the factory original Hunter Green Metallic
• New Wood Trim
• New Wood Siding
• New Windshield
* New window wipes & replacement of exterior chrome flexible pieces
• New white wall tires wrapping professionally refinished wheels
• New floor carpeting & custom Grand Wagoneer floor mats
• Leather portion of seats re-coated along with the steering wheel
• New headliner

Our mechanical & electrical sorting is as comprehensive as our cosmetic works. Indeed, we spend as much time and efforts on the engine, transmission and electrical components of our Wagoneers as we do all the exterior/interior cosmetic components. This Final Edition is also equipped with MODERN FUEL INJECTION, eliminating the troublesome carburetor and therefore also eliminating the next owner having to constantly hector his local Jeep service advisor to adjust the carburetor. Sometimes, restoring these Jeeps makes me wonder if automotive engineering was more of a hobby with some of the Jeep executives, and fitting a 1991 vehicle with an ancient artifact like a carburetor is a perfect example.

Why buy from a Grand Wagoneer specialist? For us the answer is simple- our entire focus is on Grand Wagoneers and we know these unique vehicles inside and out. When you purchase a Classic Gentleman Wagoneer it has been thoroughly inspected and all necessary work completed by professional mechanics, some with over forty years of Wagaoneer experience. We purchase fine example Jeeps from a variety of sources including other dealers and private parties. We are often told by the seller, “My Jeep is excellent and needs nothing” however, being in this profession, we know to expect and plan for a great deal of sorting.

Remember the average age of these vehicles is thirty years more or less, and even with loving care many mechanical parts have aged and worn accordingly. Purchase a Wagoneer from a source other than a specialist and odds are that you may experience servicing and repair costs that may dampen your joy and enthusiasm for that Wagoneer that you always wanted. You may only own one of these in your lifetime, while we buy, fully sort and sell dozens and dozens per year. That is a lot of practice and when a Classic Gentleman Grand Wagoneer arrives at your home, it is a special occasion. It will be in beautiful condition and ready to drive and enjoy. Yes, our sales are as-is, but as you will see from our detailed service invoices, she has been looked after from nose to tail. Our goal is to see that the joy and enthusiasm of Grand Wagoneer ownership begins immediately with your purchase and that it will be there for years to come.

Be sure to have a look at our website’s recommendation page where you can see first hand the positive experiences of a worldwide assortment of named buyers. We deal honestly and work hard to insure a happy buyer. You will never be pressured or chased for a sale but given all the time needed to insure if a purchase is right for you. Guided by these principals, our modestly sized niche dealership has built a loyal and devoted customer base spanning 5 continents.
