Vehicle Description

Currently under restoration with an estimated completion late January!

Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman, leading buyer, restorer and seller of low mile, excellent condition Grand Wagoneers always has a prime selection of vintage Grands undergoing restoration works. Many of these pieces, especially ones like this Spinnaker Blue Metallic Final Edition, are reserved before works are completed and never make it into our available inventory.

We always have a buyer segment that looks for Final Edition pieces solely but because on 1,560 Grands were produced in 1991, there are not many out there. Fewer still with low original miles and not exposed to road salt. The universe for these is very very limited and getting more compact with each passing year.

Add to that this 1991 Final Edition is being professionally color converted into the red hot popular but rarely seen, Spinnaker Blue Metallic finish, and she will be highly sought after by todays buyers. The factory only produced 25 Spinnaker Blue Metallic Grands in their final year so your choice is to find one of those or find a professional restoration house that knows how to color convert one properly. That is almost as hard to do as finding one of the original 25. See our website Restoration Page for more details of our extensive process.

The Carfax confirms the 114,xxx miles are original (That is under 4,000 miles per year), no accidents ever reported against her and her first 20 + years of road salt free Oregon & California registry. After being out west for almost all but a handful of miles she became an executive’s summer ride in the Finger Lake region of Upstate NY. Because of that happy circumstance, her frame and undercarriage is solid and strong.

Some highlights of our restoration works include:

• Full professional color conversion into the popular and rarely ever seen 1991 Factory Color Spinnaker Blue Metallic
• New Wood Siding fitted inside the factory original trim which remarkably remains in very good condition and worth keeping
• New Windshield
* New window wipes & replacement of exterior chrome flexible pieces
• New white wall tires wrapping professionally refinished wheels
• New floor carpeting and carpet in the cargo area sides and inner tailgate plus custom Grand Wagoneer floor mats
• Leather portion of seats re-coated along with other interior parts
• New headliner

Our mechanical & electrical sorting is as comprehensive as our cosmetic works. Indeed, we spend as much time and efforts on the engine, transmission and electrical components of our Wagoneers as we do all the exterior/interior cosmetic components. You might think it is notably off key for a specialist like ourselves to comment that in some ways, these Jeeps were terrible even when they were new, but that is indeed true when we discuss the factory original carburetors that Jeep fitted on these Grands. The Grand Wagoneers were the last American vehicles made with carburetors because by 1991, all other makers had already figured out how troublesome the carburetors were, compared to modern fuel injection. Because of that, this Grand has been upgraded and updated with MODERN FUEL INJECTION.

Why buy from a Grand Wagoneer specialist? For us the answer is simple- our entire focus is on Grand Wagoneers and we know these unique vehicles inside and out. When you purchase a Classic Gentleman Wagoneer it has been thoroughly inspected and all necessary work completed by professional mechanics, some with over forty years of Wagaoneer experience. We purchase fine example Jeeps from a variety of sources including other dealers and private parties. We are often told by the seller, “My Jeep is excellent and needs nothing” however, being in this profession, we know to expect and plan for a great deal of sorting.

Remember the average age of these vehicles is thirty years more or less, and even with loving care many mechanical parts have aged and worn accordingly. Purchase a Wagoneer from a source other than a specialist and odds are that you may experience servicing and repair costs that may dampen your joy and enthusiasm for that Wagoneer that you always wanted. You may only own one of these in your lifetime, while we buy, fully sort and sell dozens and dozens per year. That is a lot of practice and when a Classic Gentleman Grand Wagoneer arrives at your home, it is a special occasion. It will be in beautiful condition and ready to drive and enjoy. Yes, our sales are as-is, but as you will see from our detailed service invoices, she has been looked after from nose to tail. Our goal is to see that the joy and enthusiasm of Grand Wagoneer ownership begins immediately with your purchase and that it will be there for years to come.

Be sure to have a look at our website’s recommendation page where you can see first hand the positive experiences of a worldwide assortment of named buyers. We deal honestly and work hard to insure a happy buyer. You will never be pressured or chased for a sale but given all the time needed to insure if a purchase is right for you. Guided by these principals, our modestly sized niche dealership has built a loyal and devoted customer base spanning 5 continents.
